Shelia A. Collett, 67, of Andrews died Thursday, September 27, 2012 in a Chattanooga, TN hospital. She was a native of Macon, GA. She graduated the Class of 1963 from Lanier High School. Shelia and her husband spent the majority of their lives in Lithia Springs, GA before retiring to Andrews in 2009. She was a member of the Lithia Springs First Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Herbert Lloyd and D'Clois Crowley Armstrong.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Ned Collett; five sons, Jerry Cannon and wife, Janice of Eastman, GA, Jeff Cannon and wife, Jennifer of Temple, GA, Bobby Collett of Dunedin, FL, Vince Collett of Andrews, and Tony Collett of Lithia Springs; seven grandchildren, Trinia, Mark, Cole, Anna, Jesse, Daryl, and Gracie; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Sunday, Sept. 30 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with the Revs. Ron McClure and Leon Pettit officiating. Interment was in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chuck Drake, Tony Pritchett, Dexter Grindstaff, John Seay, John Brown, Mike Carson, Mark Laney, and James Gibby. Donald Hogan served as honorary pallbearer.
The family received friends from 1-2:45 Sunday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.
