With loving memories of Roy...........beginning as sixth grade sweethearts, and then a date for the 20th Reunion that lead to our 16 year marriage. Dancing was one of our passions, this reunion will remind me why we fell in love in the first place. Even though he won't be here , I know Roy G will be saving me his best dance when I see him again. Rest in peace and dance in the light with the Lord.

Sandra:

I'm so sorry to hear about Roy.  Just a few moments ago, I learned of his passing.  Way too soon for him to leave us.

I remember you from Dainne Fuqua.

I left Macon in January 1970, (headed for Hollywood - where I still reside) and have only returned to Macon on 5 occasions - one of which was the Miller/Lanier 20th anniversary...spent wonderfully (including a case of assorted California wines - shipped to Joanne ahead of the event) with Joanne Priester, Dianne Fuqua and Diane Benfield - all of whom have sadly passed.  As I recall, the anniversary event closed at 12 midnight and the party continued until dawn at Joanne's town house. Betty Anderson and Joel Peed were also in attendance.

I remember Roy as being tall, handsome and popular and I will always remember him as such.  My sincere condolences to you.

Regards,

Joel Thames
